BACK ON TRAC is recommended for anyone with these conditions:

  • Low back pain
  •  Muscle spasms and strains
  •  Sciatica bulging and herniated discs
  •  Degenerative joint disease
  •  Flexibility and mobility problems
  •  Facet syndrome
  •  Spondylolisthesis
  •  Scoliosis

BACK ON TRAC is fully automated and offers safe, effective stretching of the thoracic and lumbar spine in conjunction with therapeutic exercise using unilateral/bilateral flexion. Using this applied combination of treatment therapy is what sets BACK ON TRAC apart and makes it unique from any other.

What you can expect from the BACK ON TRAC is that pressure is relieved on your nerves thereby decreasing disc bulging. Also, circulation is increased to produce relief as it stretches and relaxes the tension tissues. In addition, there is greater mobilization as the ligaments stretch and inflammation is decreased making it anti-inflammatory.

BACK ON TRAC is patient-friendly and is designed to be ergonomically correct. It is easy to use and is very comfortable and relaxing. Dr. Larsen’s protocol is gentle and effective, thereby achieving great results.

Neck Pain

What is Neck Pain?

Neck pain refers to any pain, stiffness, or soreness in the neck area. It is the second most common reason patients seek chiropractic care and is a leading cause of disability. While many instances of Neck Pain will go away within a few days or weeks, pain that persists is usually a sign that there is some underlying cause that needs to be addressed.

Texting on cell phones and playing video games may seem harmless. However, today’s young people are setting themselves up for neck pain while the older generation is adding to theirs with all the texting and online use.

What are the symptoms of Neck Pain?

  • Soreness or tenderness in the general area
  • Sharp or stabbing pain in one spot
  • Stiffness in the neck that it difficult to turn the head
  • Radiating pain down the back, shoulder and arm or up to the head
  • Pain can be short-lived, or constant
  • It can be mild or severe enough to interrupt sleep and other routines.
  • Headaches
  • Tingling/weakness that radiates to shoulders, arms and fingers
  • Problems gripping/lifting objects
  • Problems with balance and coordination

How Neck on Trac Can Help

Neck on Trac is a state-of-the-art piece of equipment that fits over the Back on Trac to address neck pain problems. The Neck on Trac system is a non-invasive therapy that offers a revolutionary solution for those that live with chronic neck pain. It gently stretches the spine, joints, and muscles in the neck and upper back.

Studies show that mechanical traction was more effective in decreasing pain and improving quality of life than using conventional methods alone. The study also investigated the reduction of symptoms after mechanical traction along with conventional therapy. The results were shown to have significant improvement.

Shoulder Pain Stillwater, MN

Shoulder Pain/Frozen Shoulder

Shoulder pain is a very common condition and affects almost half of the U.S. Most patients feel some sort of pain, limited range of motion, an inability to engage in activities of daily living (ADL) or something more serious as a permanent disability.

Frozen Shoulder

The term “frozen shoulder” is often used incorrectly for arthritis, but these two conditions are unrelated.

Frozen shoulder refers specifically to the shoulder joint, while arthritis may refer to other or multiple joints.

It commonly affects people aged between 40-60 years, and it is more likely to be in women than in men. It is estimated to affect about 3 percent of people. It can affect one or both shoulders.

What It Is

Frozen shoulder is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in your shoulder joint. Signs and symptoms typically begin gradually and worsen over time.

You know you have frozen shoulder if any movement of your shoulder causes pain and your shoulder’s range of motion starts to become limited. Your shoulder will become stiffer and using it becomes more and more difficult.

People who have had prolonged immobility or reduced mobility of the shoulder are at higher risk of developing frozen shoulder. Immobility may be the result of many factors, including:

  • Rotator cuff injury
  • Broken arm injury
  • Stroke
  • Recovery from surgery

Causes

The bones, ligaments and tendons that make up your shoulder joint are encased in a capsule of connective tissue. Frozen shoulder occurs when this capsule thickens and tightens around the shoulder joint, restricting its movement.

How Chiropractic Care Can Help

Chiropractic adjustments using Trigenics can help speed the healing and recovery time of a frozen shoulder in just a few visits.

Knee Pain Stillwater, MN

Knee Pain

Do you find yourself walking less and doing less because of chronic knee pain? If so, contact Rivertown Chiropractic & Wellness. The best technology Dr. Larsen has found for the treatment of knee pain is with non-surgical knee decompression.

If you suffer with any of the problems listed below, you will love the KNEE ON TRAC non-surgical decompression treatment:

  • ACL Injuries
  •  Chronic Knee Pain
  •  Chronic Muscle train
  •  Failed Surgery
  •  Meniscus Tears
  •  Osteoarthritis
  •  Previous Injury
  •  Sub-acute Muscle Strain

Unlike other equipment, the unique design of the KNEE ON TRAC isolates the knee area. This, in turn, allows for a more precise therapy unlike the typical knee traction/decompression equipment which tractions from the ankle. The isolation of the knee at the proper angle works solely on the affected knee area, allowing for a more precise therapy and with a session of 5-10 minutes, depending on the patient’s condition and need.

Common physiotherapy treatment accompanied by knee distraction may induce significant improvement in quality of life in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis, for example, compared to common physiotherapy treatment alone. Studies show that mechanical traction is more effective at decreasing pain and improving quality of life than ultrasound and exercise combined.

Get more active, decrease your inflammation, increase your range of motion, and speed up your healing process with KNEE ON TRAC.

Whiplash in Stillwater, MN

Whiplash

It’s important to realize that whether your car crash was minor or significant, an injury can occur (even in small fender benders). You may not even notice you have an injury for a few days, weeks, or months following your car crash. This is because for some people, the flight or fight hormones (like adrenaline) don’t return to their normal resting levels immediately following trauma, and such hormones can mask pain.

So how does Dr. Larsen treat auto injuries including whiplash?

Dr. Larsen can diagnose whiplash through various physical examination techniques, and then address your symptoms and underlying tissues in a variety of ways:

Our treatments are customized and change as you change. They are never a one-size-fits-all!

On the day of your accident (or as soon as possible thereafter) contact us at (651) 439-2712 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Daniel J. Larsen who has had extensive training with all kinds of injuries.

Body Contouring

Body contouring is slimming down the areas of your body so you look better and feel better. It’s about getting your body back to a shape where you can wear that pair of pants that are a little tight and you don’t feel so comfortable in anymore. Image is important. You don’t have to have a model’s figure, but here at Rivertown Chiropractic & Wellness, we can help sculpt you to a “New You”.

Anyone who desires a more contoured body shape, including men as well as women, will love the Contour Light system. It takes only 25 minutes and patients get results on their very first day.
We do this by using the Body Contour system which helps unwanted fat melt so it can exit the body. It is non-invasive. It involves no exercise. You simply lie down with the LED pads on the areas of your body that you want contoured and let the red lights do the work.

If losing weight is important to you, we can help you turn your body into a fat-burning mode and lose a half to one pound of body weight per day. Using the Contour Light along with a weight-loss program designed specifically to go along with the body sculpting is your solution to looking better and losing weight.

Very simply, the slight warming sensation from the red lights melt the fat. The melted fat then drips through the cells into the lymph system. It travels to the liver where it is processed whereupon it leaves the body. Most patients lose between 2”-3’” or more at your first session. The pads cover almost the entire body and allows you to spot reduce if you so desire.

An added feature for those who wish to tighten up the skin on their faces and receive a “soft facelift” can be done by using the helmet which fits over the face and head.
